Making art
I like art. It is my ONLY talent that I have. I say I am great at art. I use the traditional way of drawing, not digital, but drawing with real materials with your own two hands. I use oil pastels, charcoal pencils, HB-EE pencils, and paint.

Watching YouTube
Watching YouTube is really fun for me. I mostly watch Minecraft, because I like Minecraft. I also watch some random stuff in there.

Listening to music
I like listening to music while doing homework. Music always keeps me awake, because I am always sleepy while doing it. It keeps my energy level high when I am listening to good music.

Playing with friends
I like playing with my friends because in the Philippines I always do that. But in Thailand everything is different, my friends are not here, so some of my classmates just play with me. After I arrived in this place I always feel lonely, because I miss my friends there.

Doing errands almost 10 times in a row
My parents always give me errands to do. Like every single day, yes it’s every single day, my parents just call me like, “Jori!!!” then I just go to them and they tell me to buy something, hang the clothes after being washed, or get something from my parents’ friend’s house.

Philippines Monkey-eating Eagle or known as the Philippine Great Eagle is an endangered species of birds in the Philippines. It only lives in the Philippines. This species is currently critically endangered. The cause of it being endangered is due to deforestation of its habitats.

This bird preys on monkeys like what the name says, bats, lemurs, civets, squirrels, and macaques. Also other birds, and even snakes and lizards.

About Commenting
Q:  What have you enjoyed about commenting?
A: I love it when I read the comments and appreciate what people wrote.
Q: What is annoying about commenting?
A: The annoying thing is that people just don’t make long comments. Like one time Garrett just commented, “Nice post dude!” I know there is this word dude that I also sometimes use, but it doesn't explain, in what ways my post is nice. Also that people don’t spell words correctly.
Q: How have you found interesting posts to comment on?
A: I just read post titles that sound interesting for me to read and see.
Q: Are your posts getting a lot of quality comments? Why or why not?
A: I don’t get that many comments on my posts. I think I got short comments like 2-3 times which are on my artwork posts. The long comments are the ones on my posts about the world issues. Anyways, I still appreciate for what they said.

Why are French Fries called French Fries?
This post is a very interesting post. I really used to wonder why French fries are called 'French' Fries. I admit that I didn't do my research about it to find out the truth may be because I am a lazy person, or that I am a forgetful person. I really get excited to do my research about things but the next moment it's gone.

My favorite subjects
This post is awesome because most of Kayden's favorite subjects are connected to music. Well, in my opinion, anything that is art. dance, music, drawing etc. is connected to music. In my comment to her post, I told her how long I have been practicing art. She advised me to draw in school whenever I have free time. And that's what I do now.

If I was the school principal
I like Charlie’s post because I agree with his recommendation of giving less homework per week. He says that the higher grade level you go the more homework you have, and the more homework you have the lesser sleep you get, and having less sleep is very bad for young kids. So school should change their policy of giving homework to children to no homework.

Global Warming

Steps Taken to Reduce Global Warming in My School

Is global warming that we should worry about or is it something else we should pay attention to? For me, whether global warming is true or not, I think it is better to be safe.

But first, what is global warming? According to NASA Earth Observatory, it is a rapid increase of average earth's surface temperature due to greenhouse gases that are being released to the atmosphere by human activities. Our science teacher said that these gases destroyed the ozone layer. The ozone layer is the one that filters the heat of the sun. According to Wikipedia, average temperature rose around 0.6 to 0.9 degrees Celsius from 1906 to 2005 and that rate is almost doubled for the last 50 years.

Reducing emissions of greenhouses gases is the major way to reduce global warming. For example, planting stuff with leaves or trees because plants will absorb the major greenhouse gas - the carbon dioxide! Reducing the burning of fossil fuels, and reducing harmful waste to nature. These are the common actions we can take to reduce greenhouse emissions, but the easiest thing to do is planting trees.

My classmates and I joined an event a few years ago, aiming to reduce global warming. I don’t remember the name of the event. But I remember that we planted small plants that I know will grow and absorb a lot of greenhouse gases. And in my little ways, I also apply the 3R principle - reduce,  reuse, recycle.

Talk about Africa

Recently, our teacher told us to make a PowerPoint presentation about African countries. From North African countries and so on. I am going to talk about South Africa. It’s weird where it’s called South Africa where it’s located in Southern Africa. This country has 3 capital cities. Cape Town, Pretoria, and Bloemfontein.
This country has lakes, rivers, and mountains. I’m going to give one example for each. Table Mountain, Orange River, and Lake Chrissie. And there’s a lot of natural resources here. From what I’ve counted in our presentation. It has over 18 natural resources.
The population is over 50.5 million. Exact population is 56,974,739. The climate is Mediterranean to the southeast corner of the country, temperate to the interior plateau, and subtropical in the northeast. This country has some festivals related to music and arts.
And here are some interesting facts. The first human heart transplant was performed in Cape Town. A lot of animal habitats are destroyed because of deforestation and over population. This place is home to a wide variety of animals like hippopotamus, tigers, rhinos, and such. South Africa is member of United Nations.

Talk about an application you use in school.

I am going to talk about MS PowerPoint. Or Microsoft PowerPoint. It is a really handy application to use for slideshows, presentations, and for displaying pictures. You can copy a picture and put it there, you can change the colour, fonts, and shades of your text, and a whole different stuff in it. You can explore or get instructions in Google or YouTube.
I mostly do the text then the pictures and background styles. You can pick a custom background with pictures. I mostly pick a custom background. You can add something funny into it also. You can add audio that plays across slides, animations of text and pictures, and transitions or animations when you move to another slide.
You can download this, but it’s mostly immediately built in the laptop or computer. I know this is known all over the world. But this is mostly my favorite application to use. This is a very useful application. Well you can use others if you can’t download it.
